| | The cellar of Bonnieux was created in 1920 by some vine growers determined to share their means of production. It was the first of the Vaucluse department naturally giving one of our brands "La Doyenne".

| | Our cellar has the characteristic to be able to offer you two appelations: "Côtes du Luberon" and "Côtes du Ventoux" produced on different terroirs, conferring on each wine typicity and character.
|
The privileged situation of our vineyards between "Haute Provence" and "Rhône Valley" offers varied conditions of soils and exposures. The vine alternates there harmoniously with the cherry trees and the olive trees. Its territory extends along Bonnieux and some bordering villages (Goult, Roussillon, Lacoste, Gordes) on both sides of Calavon, affluent of "La Durance".
Our vineyards cover approximately 700 hectares in the heart of the Regional Natural Reserve of Luberon. In order to preserve this soil, the Cave de Bonnieux and their cooperators invest in the durable development: installation of an automated station for the treatment of cellar liquid waste, selective grape sorting, reduction in the treatments and fertilizers use by means of our schedules of conditions, putting under grass of the vines, return to the work of the soil. |

| | We vinify two A.O.C., table wines, “Vins de Pays” and varietals (merlot/cabernet and viognier): a large pallet of colors and perfumes to be tasted by the red, rosé or white wine consumers.
We produce around 35 000 each year:
35 % Côtes du Luberon
35 % Côtes du Ventoux
25 % “Vins de Pays”
5 % table wine
|
The white and rosé wines are vinified under low temperature after musts clarification and pellicular maceration.
The red wines are traditionally vinified with more or less longer maceration according to the selected products.
Some wines are aged in oak barrel during several months in our aging cellar.
